Indigo is "LIVE"

Today, I received the author “proof” copies of The Tale of Indigo that I ordered from Amazon. It is a wonderful feeling to have the new book in my hands. The entire process from conception to finished product has been both challenging and delightful.

I did a lot of “fine-tuning” today. I revised the website to integrate the role of Cavalarico Books as the “publisher.”

During the coming year, I expect to add two authors to our stable of writers so I wanted to accommodate that now.

The fact that I can do all of this myself amazes me. Writing books was just one aspect. I have undertaken book design (except illustration), website design, blogging, social media posts, and learning how to operate a business in a digital world.

After I complete this initial set up, I hope to write more content and use these tools to deliver new material to you.

Please join me

I want to find readers who value fiction that celebrates the human condition, and fellow writers with whom I can collaborate.

I hope to share new stories, poetry written with youthful ideals ha,ha and maybe even a memoir or two over the coming years. Though my output is meagre, my literary efforts amount to a BIG DEAL for me. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask. I would be happy to share whatever I can.

Take care,
Tim

The Eleventh Hour

Lest I forget, I begin this blog on this November 11th, 2022, giving sincere appreciation to those who fought in wars so we all might live freely. Recently, I watched “All Quiet on the Western Front” and “Passchendaele.” Oh my God, what horrible experiences just to watch. We cannot take lightly any threat or, for that matter, any dismissal of the importance of respecting the sacrifices that previous generations have made. The great number of people who died or suffered during those extraordinary times must not be forgotten.

I do not diminish this respect and observance by including it as part of my day and part of my blog. I don’t want to relegate it to its own special place. I want it to be part of my life. Integrated. Connected meaningfully to the present and our future. As they say, those who do not know and respect the problems of the past are destined to repeat them. That’s why we have rules—to guide us and help maintain order.

We share fundamental values, such as honouring the truth. Respect for the past is the same as respect for the truth. This means no lying and its corollary—never accepting or believing in a lie. How difficult could this be?
